Our COVID-19 Testing

Effective Monday, September 27th, our testing will be by same day appointment only, and eligibility will be restricted to those who have previously had medical, dental or behavioral healthcare, OR a COVID-19 vaccine OR COVID-19 testing at Generations and have an established account.

Details:

  • Appointments required. 

  • Appointments must be scheduled on the same day the COVID-19 test is needed

  • Must be Generations patient or been vaccinated or tested at Generations previously.  

  • No cost to the patient for the test

  • PCR Test

  • Results usually available in 2-4 days

  • Testing available for all ages

  • Once you have been swabbed you may leave

  • The fastest way to receive your results is via the Quest Patient Portal. Instructions for setting up an account will be provided when you arrive for testing. The link to set up an account is: https://myquest.questdiagnostics.com/web/home

  • In addition to receiving your results on the Quest Portal, if you are POSITIVE, we will call you with your test results and care instructions.

What type of test do you offer?

A PCR Test

What is a PCR test?

A PCR COVID-19 test is a molecular test that looks for active infection with COVID-19.  Results take between 3-5 days and are considered very accurate.

How do I get my results?

The fastest way to receive your results is via the Quest Patient Portal.  Instructions for setting up an account will be provided when you arrive for testing.

If you are POSITIVE, you will receive a call from Generations.  Please be sure to answer the phone if you see a call from “Generations Family Health Center” on your caller ID.

You are able to print your test results from your Quest Portal.

What if I’m positive?

If you are positive, you will be asked to stay at home and isolate for 10 days from the date of your test.  In some situations, your isolation period may be longer.  Please consult your PCP for more guidance.
